Hankook has spent two decades building a case that South Korean tire manufacturing can compete with the European and Japanese premium names — and at this point, the case is well made. The brand now supplies original equipment tires to BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and several other major automakers, which tells you a great deal about where Hankook actually stands on quality.

When I review Hankook tires, what consistently impresses me is how much performance they deliver for the price. The Ventus S1 evo3 is a serious ultra-high-performance summer tire that goes toe-to-toe with options costing significantly more. The Kinergy GT and Kinergy ST cover grand touring and standard all-season needs with excellent tread life and a quiet, comfortable ride. For truck and SUV owners, the Dynapro AT2 and AT2 Xtreme are capable all-terrain options that handle both daily driving and weekend off-road use well.
